JUNE KEY POINTS
VALUE OF WORK DONE, CHAIN VOLUME MEASURES
TOTAL
- The trend estimate for the value of total engineering construction work done fell 2.2% in the June 2014 quarter.
- The seasonally adjusted estimate for the value of total engineering construction work done fell 2.0% in the June quarter to $29,759.5m.
PRIVATE SECTOR
- The trend estimate for the value of work done for the private sector fell 1.9% in the June quarter.
- The seasonally adjusted estimate for the value of work done for the private sector fell 1.6% in the June quarter to $23,140.1m.
PUBLIC SECTOR
- The trend estimate for the value of work done for the public sector fell 2.9% in the June quarter.
- The seasonally adjusted estimate for the value of work done for the public sector fell 3.5% in the June quarter to $6,619.4m.
VALUE OF WORK COMMENCED, CURRENT PRICES
- The value of work commenced in the June quarter was $16,757.8m in original terms, a decrease of 23.6% from the March quarter.
